Thumbs down Death of my Disco

Well....I am trolling for sympathy. I killed my 300tdi.
I have been very careful with it,gentle even, especialy off roading.I am the king of preventitive maintenance and have an affinity with the 300tdi as it was the last "Land Rover" Diesel put into the Disco & Defender.
I Love that engine..However that apparently didn't matter when I stuffed the nose of the Disco into a pit of mud leaving the disco with mud and water 1 ft over the hood/bonnet.Being land rover put the engine air intake in the front fender well (Thanks guy's great FUC*ING idea) it digested quite a bit of rubbish. Water/mud through the air intake-through the air filter-through the turbo-into and completely clogging the intercooler and onward to the big unit. Shit!!!!!
I replaced the intercooler with a new Ali-sport(50% bigger) and with a safari snorkle fitted I felt like I was invinceable. But the damage was already done..I.E con rod etc... etc...
You want to know the worst bit.....???.....if I was more cautious about how I approached the Mud bogg on the off road course this all could have been avoided. In reality this was 100% my fault.
It's not LR's fault I am a moron and realisticaly the air intake is fine where its at as there is no other place for it realy.
The good news is I have found a new motor for it.You can check it out on this web...[url]www.mdengineering.co.uk[url].It is a 2.5 international power torque and is quite a suitable replacement as you can see from the new engine spec. It will cost me an Arm and a Leg but will be worth it. My sugestion to everyone is please for the love of god please if you do any wading get a snorkle!!!! It is most useful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
