Are you sure you checked the right fuses?? This has happened on my 97 Disco and it was a blown fuse. It would happen when I turned the fog lights on because of a short in the wire going to the fog lights. If I turned on the fog lights they would work for a short time and then I would lose the dash lights, and my brake lights. I would double check the fuse again just to be safe. As for the rear door try what was posted above with the WD-40
