I ran about 10k mile without one. Then, I started to get a "shake" in the steering wheel, so I install a new one. That did not correct my problem. I got the tires re-balanced, and all was well.
So, I'm not too sure you'll "feel" anything. I'd say it does help a little with bump-steer, though
