Hi All
This is my first post, so I firstly want to say "hi". Right, some background here - I live in Cape Town and am the proud owner of a '96 Rangie 4.0 SE. I had a '84 Classic before this one, but must say that I enjoy the SE more. We have beach, dunes and mountains all within about 150 km so lots of driving challenges! A lot of 4x4 trails are popping up al over the place, so it's nice to see that more and more people enjoy driving through nature.
I obviously want my Rangie to be as good as I can make it so I started off by putting some better tackies under it. I got rid of the 235*70*16 Michelins and put some 245*70*16 Goodyear ATR's on. The chaps at the tire place said I could not go bigger without modifications to the body due to the EAS. Darn, I used to run 285*70*16's on my Classic!
Why is it so difficult to obtain a set of clear indicator lenses? Boy, they want the world for those! I thought one could pick those up at a local scrap yard. Not!!!
Apart from the lights what else gets "upgrade attention" to change the looks of a Pre 2000 to a post 2000? I want to stay offroad, so 20" mags with elastic bands isn't my idea of an upgrade.
Happy driving
Sander
