Default AC/ Heater fan

I've been working hard on getting the Discovery ready for the trip to Arizona in a couple days. I have fixed everything I set out to fix, except one thing (there's always that one thing). While running the ac on high my fan has stopped dead on me several times. I would say that it has not stopped for more than 10 seconds max, and then comes right back on by itself. At first I thought it might be related to the rear window ECU I fixed last week (windows and ac are on the same fuse), but the windows have worked fine, even when the fan cuts out. I turned the ac off at one point and left the fan on after it cut-out and that didn't seem to have anything to do with it either. It seems as though the fan is isolated from everything else and just cuts out on its own from time to time. I am worried about it cutting out in Arkansas or some place and not coming back on. Any tips would be helpful.
Thanks, Vince
