Did they ever figure out what happened?
This is the coolest series of pics... seriously. I wonder if they forgot to properly treat / paint / rustproof / etc a batch of the LR frames from the factory that year? (ie the old "built on a monday after new years" story)
Really crazy though, I'd bet there are more rovers out there with this same problem. Good work on getting it replaced.
And I can't believe they did this, from a cost perspective, it's really cool of them. If I were the land rover rep, I'd have just given you an '04 and called it even. (how I wish I were the land rover rep)
