Here is something I did on one of my previous RR's
I used Hella 500 lights on this project, But I don't reccomend them, as the plastic housing broke when I took it through the car wash... Anyway you could get some KC lights and It would probably work just as good...
I drilled holes in the front bumper as close to the head lights as possible to make it look like the new rovers lights, but out of the way enough as to not mess with the light pattern. There was also the bumper mounts to deal with. But due to the reflective nature of these lights, the inside part of the headlights actually illuminate the outside annd the outside illuminate the inside, so even mounted this way there is no blocking of the light pattern. I was about an eighth of an inch off on one side, but this was a flipper rover so I didnt care too much...
anyway for the cost of an inexpensive pair of driving lights, you can upgrade the looks and the light, and its less than a hundred bucks.. Ohh while you are at it... take some spray paint and paint the grill and bumper. I use Forever Black on the bumper caps and the D pillars, and it gets them black for a good 2 years or more.
here is what the finished product looks like... Now that is an inexpensive upgrade, that looks great.... Ohh I took the liberty to move the Rover logo to the middle of the grill, Its different, but at least you can see it... otherwise the light covers it up... I guess you could move it over, but still have it on the right side ( as you look at it in the pic )
