Maybe if you have a photo of what you want to replace?

For the time being, the D1 radios for 1996-99 were made from Pioneer and then Alpine. The Pioneer radio was a marine radio model with the weather band and by now, a lot of them are showing their age in dying cassette decks & lousy FM and AM reception.

Land Rover tried to improve the radios performance by installing a RF amplifier but my guess is that Pioneer just wanted to keep the good stuff to their retail and not their OEM products. Their OEM radios just suck except when you are in the city.

I used to love their Supertuner products but when they put flashy displays connected with flex cable, well something is going to get old and break. Ditto with Sony.

I still have my old Pioneer and I am waiting for it to die before I pull it with some Bose and a Nakamichi deck.
