You can use the grease packs in the older type of hub, but then you should mark the filler plug with yellow paint as a code to tell the next guy along that's what you've done.[/quote]

Where does it say "Plug painted yellow ... I used grease packs." ???

Swivel house oil change was negelected by myself for more than 100K miles on 1991 RR. Then I saw OkieRovers swivel house/CV rebuild and got inspired to change all diff's, transfer and swivel oils. GLAD I did since one swivel housing had less than 1/10 the required fluid.

Hey, maybe it was painted yellow once and it wore off....
