I don't buy the low pressure idea, if it were low, you wouls also have a low soft brake pedal. With the engine on, go pull the top of the brake flui resevor and move the float up and down to see if the light goes off, they can fail.
There should be a pressure switch in the barke system, some where near the master cylinder, it may have also failed.
