Tomkat: One way to find out which wire is the switched 12 volt and which is the constant 12 volt (for memory?) is to look at the back of the fuse box and see the colours of wire coming from the specific fuse. This is usually NOT practical as the fuse box has so many wires attached that it is not very movable. The more practical approach is to test each wire in the plug that hooks up to the radio. You'll probably need a 2 foot length of wire with the smallest alligator clips or a way to jam your meter lead up against each electrical prong in the connector. Be very careful not to bugger up these delicate contacts or they won't ever work properly. If all else fails, you can take it to the dealer and pay the $105 per hour to solve this problem! Best of luck. One final point - in many circuits, the radio is grounded to the dash by the screws holding it in - I have no idea how the ground is done in LRs. Best of luck.
