Sevenrover, I assume that your comments about lifted vehicles in Oz was directed at me. I have about a 2 inch spring lift, a 2 inch body lift and a 3 inch lift through bigger tyres. Due to stability issues with spring lifts, along with them not allowing larger tyres to be fitted, hassles with drive train angles and castor, springs popping out on compression, we tend to lift the body rather than use springs. The spring lift is more to centre the axle articulation.

Outside the UK, there are probably more landrovers/range rovers in Oz than any other part of the world. We have been pushing them off road in adverse conditions for over 50 years. I would hope that we have learnt something in that time.
