I have SLS with 2" spaces for about 3 yrs and about 45000 miles.
The only problems I see is that with the spacer in place the upward travel of the supension with regards to the bottom of the air bag is also 2" more than standard. In other words with the axel up against the end stop the bag is also compressed by an additional 2" compared to the stock setup.
I had one bag leak after a really big bounce, I still wonder if this is related to the extra compression.
In either case I stuck a 2" spacer on the top side of the axle where the bump stops hit to prevent this happening, since then I've had no problems with the setup.
