When you work it out, you can run 30 inch tyres easily on a standard vehicle. For every inch increase in tyre diameter it is only a 1/2 inch increase in the radius. That is the top of the tyre becomes 1/2 inch closer to the car. Therefore a 2inch body lift will allow you to fit 34 inch tyres without any spring lifts. What a spring or body lift does not do is increase the distance between the front and rear of your tyre to the body. This is where body triming is usually required.
