Yes, you are right, 751's are listed for D1's and work really well on D2's if your looking for a little extra.
While in California, I found that was the spring of choice, especially with the winch combo. Yes 779's are list as HD for a D2 but they won't handle much off road pounding with the extra weight on the nose.
As for your question, no they are not the same spring for two different vehicles, the load rating is completely different.
My first set of springs were 779's and they started dropping within 3 months, by over an inch.

Jupiter, I wouldn't go to spacers in your case unless you go for a winch and find some place to play hard in the rocks. As for spacers for the rear, it looks pretty even, I wouldn't do anything untill you finish your mods, then stand back and look to see if any height changes are needed.
