Now I will admit those 5" springs are designed with having a loaded vehicle in mind, thus the higher rate. I did the math to figure out what displacement and rate I would need to get the lift and travel I wanted without dropping a spring. Even got a quote on them, I can just put more crap in my truck to deal with the higher rates than pay what they want for custom wound springs.

Larger tires were the deciding factory here, close but no tipping.



My buddy brought up another reason why he took the leap to 35's, he was tired of having to wash his carpets out after a ride in good ole swampy Florida.

This picture it looks like the springs are compressing as much as stockers, the wheel is not as far in as it would be with the factory springs. But remember this there is a whole lotta quater panel gone from that wheel arch. And the tires still rub, and are even cutting the tires a little.
