not a stupid question, all i meant in my original post was that basically i was hoping i would get more replies to my questions about my situation if i posted pics to show what was going on cause i havent been getting many replies to some of my posts. maybe cause no one knows me, maybe cause no one has anything to say. i dunno
im ripping it apart cause two shops both told me the engine was shot and i needed a whole new one because i had thrown a rod through the block or it was seriously cracked for some other reason. I figured if they were right it was worthless so i might as well look to see if they were wrong and possibly save the 4k or so to get an entire new engine put in.
she overheated a week before she died. i was driving on the intersate at 65 maybe 70 and it started to feel like it didnt have much power when i hit the gas, going up one hill was really hard so i pulled over and once i slowed down i noticed smoke was pouring out of the hood (coundnt notice before cause it was blowing away too fast on the interstate) it wouldnt crank and was towed to the dealership. they said they could tell it threw a rod cause of a bump in the intake manifold gasket. so acording to the experts it was shot.
