Default Wrecked disco....

Well, the final word is in... "It will cost more to repair than replace".

My first offer from the insurance company was 6090.00 minus 500.00 deduct. and when they get the police report and it shows the 3rd party hit and run, they will send me another check for 250.00 as a reimbursement of half my deductible. I guess the initial check will be 5590.00 (plus the 250.00 later).

Do you think 5840.00 for a 98 land rover disco is fair? I have looked high and low and can not find another 98 Land Rover for that money.

This is just making me sick...

I thought I was going to be able to keep the Disco and get into another 97-98 without losing much and actually have a complete spare parts car (minus bumper, psgr light assembly, fender, hood, one shock... maybe front diff).

Seems my definition of replacement cost and insurance definition of replacement cost vary slightly.
