If you can do it your self it will save you a few bucks. My 2003 Discovery did exactly the same, it was 11pm when mine went, I had to take the door panel off and physically lift the window up while pressing the up button on the window switch, it did pick the glass up and shut it closed, I rang the main dealer who fitted a new actuator and it cost me £235.
