There is no simple answer.

This is because there's more at play than tyre diameter.

First off what are you going to use the vehicle for?

Lifting the vehicle means you are placing the wheels firther from the body and in the larger part of the wheel arch. However is you are off road and get somedecent axle articulation it will place the wheel higher in the arch than normal. So big tyres will work on the street but not off road.

Tyre width and rim off set will also have a major affect, wide tyres on a decent off setup will protrude from the body work, again under articulatoin it will rub or bend panels or worse case jam the wheel and break something.

If you turn the wheels (lock to lock) under articulation you will need far more clearance.

I run 33.11.50 tyres and wheel arch flares. Under full articulation it still rubbed on the front flares so I've trimmed them. Fair do I'm only running HD suspension and it's not lifted, but under articulation it wouldn't make any odds, the front wheel would still have been in the same place and would still have rubbed.
