I noticed that when I bank right into a right turn on the freeway doin' 70 mph, she gets weird, not to mention when the throttle is pressed. Now, when the truck is cruising at 2500 RPM and this speed of 70 mph, the throttle is I wanna say a third to half, depending on wind, the way I am turning, and going up hill. She does it bad in these conditions, and today was the worst.

I couldn't stand the jerking, and so I pulled over. I also had to pee real bad too....so as i let the truck idle while I did my business, the truck died down...and I watched the tach drop to like 400 RPM, then the IAC tried to compensate, then she just stalled.

I pop the hood, do a visual, and I check out the coil and wire, I had a DMM with me so I ohmed the primary and secondary windings on the coil...all is good. I ohmed the plug wires and coil wire, all is good. No check engine light is on.

I tested the TPS, and found this....at idle position, 8.5 K Ohms shows, I move it to a slight throttle, and it increased to 10 K Ohms.

I continue to move the throttle, and the readings go back to what they oughta be, then at about half throttle the readings go from 2.9 K Ohms, to 8K-9K Ohms. Then at wide open throttle, the reading is 0.9 K Ohms. This obviously ain't normal....can someone post a comparison of a good TPS Ohm reading threw the ranges from idle to Wide Open Throttle?

Also, would this erratic fluctuation in resistance from the TPS cause a driveability issue with my truck, like hesitation, cut outs and such?

I would imagine it would, and the better for me to replace the sensor, and hopefully get rid of the issue.

Also this issue is not just a freeway driven issue, it happens during accelration sometimes, especially after making any kind of turn through an intersection.

I hope to solve this soon!!

Thanks guys!!
Uhh, yeah...did you get the memo on the TPS reports?

to the first one who can tell me what movie that's from...
