Is it possible to fit the freelander with the rangerover's tyres without it snagging anywhere?
In general you can run tyres of up to about 28.5 inches diameter assuming stock wheels and no lift. The common choice is 225/70-16 which are 28.4 inches. Your 215/75-16s are about 28.7 inches diameter. That's probably not enough larger to matter unless you heavily load your Freelander to near max capacity.

Just a note about tyre sizes. The '75's are about 6% larger diameter than the '65's so you will see an effective reduction of about 6% in torque to the ground and also the same percent reduction in stopping force. The stopping is fine once you get used to it. You will notice the Freelander shifting down sooner when climbing. Probably not a problem unless you are planning on towing a caravan with the Freelander. An added bonus is the larger tyres make the spedo read more accurately.
