One of the things that I have been saying for some time, is that each year, the vehicle manufacturers make their cars more complex, with additional electronic sensors, modules, emission controls, gizmos etc. What this boils down to, is that, you keep getting all sorts of error codes (fortunately my 91 & 95, doesn't have any of that crap). It just a fact of life; the dealer has to make money from you somehow, especially, every time you go in to get an error code fixed/cleared or you are un-initiated, and use the dealer to do your repairs; usually by the apprentices'.
