Have you filled up your tank since?? One of the problems with running out of gas with older vehicles is that the deposits accumulating at the bottom of the gas tank gets pumped out with the last ounce of gasoline. You might just need to change your gas filter.

every true! if u change your fuel filter and after u fill the tank u should add a bottle of fuel cleaner into the system. i like lucas brand, but there is alot of good products out there.
check your spark plug, cap and etc to see if they r in good shape. like my dads says "check everything over on a rover, it could be alot of little things adding up to 1 major issue". some like that he says.
