Agreed. The Engine management ECU "talks" to the security ecm. Without sticking with original systems you may find a can of worms you wished you hadn't opened. There will always be loads of LR shortblocks, so when the time comes, if the rest of the trucks condition warrants the expense, just put in another LR Long block, shortblock and stick with the original fuel injection.
