That's where I found them! Right next to a hot engine. What a great idea! The D2 was on the down slope of Imogene Pass leaving Telluride, CO for Ouray, CO just below 13K ft. Everything was hot and he was the 3rd in a group of 12.
Luckily it was on the uphill side so no one fell down the mountain hugging a flat tire.
