I think its the Land Rover Spider - I had some problems where the vehicle (300Tdi 1996 130) would not start (not even turn over) on some occasions after a short run, however 10 minuites later would be fine, it did on one occasion stop running when driving home one day, just lost power a few times then stopped, would not start (as if wasn't getting any fuel but would turn over).

In the defender its in a different place, in the battery box within a 3-4" square black box, with just one multicore cable entering - unbolt, drill or cut off anti tamper fastenings - remove spider, resolder worst of the joints
The next important step is go to the post office with the bottle of wine...
I'm almost certain this was my problem as in the last few months since sorting the dry joints it has not caused any problems...
