I don't think it would be hard, but you have to figure-out where the leak is coming from before you start replacing parts because the box and pump are not cheap.
I changed out the steering box and all PS hoses on my D2 and the hardest part was that hard-line PS hose that runs from the box to the pump. It is a pain to get to the brackets in front of the radiator.
