We noticed 'corrosion' on the passenger-side of the rear taildoor, on the bottom. The door was all bubbly and the paint had chipped away. It looked lousy, but there was no holes. After two 1.5 hour drives to our local LR dealer in Bedford, NH they agreed to fix it! They gave us a loaner 2003 which we drove home, then went to MN on vacation for a week. When we got back to the dealer, the 'fix' was sanding the area, adding filler, and repainting the bottom. It was already starting to bubble. The Svc. Mgr. acknowledged the poor fix, gave us a different 2003 loaner, and when we came back they had a brand new taildoor all repainted and installed! I should mention we are the second owner, but the car is in very nice condition. We were within 2 days of the warranty expiring when we got the service order! So, after the hassle, they did it free and we had their loaners for two+ weeks. They wanted to see all the service records, as there is an annual 'corrosion inspection' service which must be performed.
