Long story made short, my dear wife miscalculated the proximity of a fixed object while backing out of the garage.
Now I have to replace the RH wing mirror assembly on the Freelander. In US trim, of course, with convex glass and that little phrase that would make my high school English teacher shudder: "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR".
So, the question becomes: What is the most practical source for this part? The dealer price is around $200. I found one on Ebay for $35, but it is too badly weathered. Would certainly consider a used/salvage part, if the age and weathering are in line with mine (2002).
Is there a US source for collision parts that can beat the dealer price?
