I too am interested in this now that the weather has picked up. I'm new to Discovery ownership, the wife and I got our 1st in December '06. We would like to get involved in light off roading with the aim of fun, getting to know the car, see the great outdoors, meet people etc etc. I've been looking on the internet for stuff to do but most of it would appear to require experience and huge wheels, ground clearance etc - ours is a commuter-mobile primarily

I've just registered with ROAV so hoping to see something in the not too distant future.

Does anybody on here have any recommendations of somewhere in VA we could go on our own in the meantime - somewhere we could off road legally but doesn't include ascending boulders and having a winch fitted? We are near Staunton, VA.

Thanks,

Jason.
