The front crank seal isn't too hard. You have to pull off your fan and belt, and then the main crank pulley. The new seal just slides right in. The rear main seal, however, is extremely complicated. You have to drop your transmission, if I remember correctly. The way to check if the rear main is leaking, is to pull that gold cover that's on the bottom of your bell housing (it's held on by 3 little bolts), and see if there's any oil in there.
