I will actually be passing the car onto the misses after 2 or 3 years. I would have preferred the Range Rover Sports but not in a position $$$ at the moment.
Apparently, LR have taken numerous orders over the past fortnight. Not sure how accurate this is though.
You are correct in LR targeting FL2 against X3 but I dont think its a contest. Coming in $15K less and better off-road capability (according to overseas reviews) it no contest in my books. Add to this the bag of extras you get in the FL2 compared to X3 or any other brand including RAV, Xtrail etc. Sure its around $10K more then RAV's etc, but you are getting ,ore equipment and better off road as well...
I have tested both the X3 & X5, and test drove the Pajero, & Xtrail......did'nt like any of them.........nearly purchased the Grand Cherokee but was struggling with the handbrake etc.....also the new GC 2008 coming out late this year...I thought FL2 would be better option.
