The thornbirds suck. Forget them.
The truxxus...kinda hard to say. They look aggressive but they have never seem to perform very well. Everyone I know who has run them has gotten rid of them within a few wheeling trips. So...that should say something. Overall, I WOULD NOT recommend them.
The LTBs are going to perform the best out of any you have chosen off road. On road, they are going to suck MAJOR balls. Off road they cut through mud and cling to rock. If you want off road performance, this is it. But they are bias ply and on the road they are loud and fairly uncomfortable. I would definately recommend using airsoft pellets to balance these things since these tires literally change their balance every wheeling trip. If you use traditional weights, they'll be outta balance in a week or so. The airsoft pellets will give you the most hassle free balancing available. My roommate has these and I run the TSLs (34x9.5). If these are going to be a second set of tires for off road, then there is no question: LTBs.
On a side note, I would like to recommend that if you are using a second set of rims, get 15" rims and the 15" LTB. The 16" LTB has a E load rating, and for off road this blows. The 15" has a C rating which is plenty and will perform better off road. Go no wider than a 7" rim for these tires or you'll start risking blown beads, but 7" will give you trouble free service.
BFG M/Ts have had a reputation of cutting sidewalls but I've never had a problem. On rocks, you'll need to air down if you want any love. They perform fairly well in the mud. On road they have good characteristics and don't get loud until about 50% tread. I have a set and use them as my street/easy trail tires. They used to be my everything tire until I get a set of TSLs. These tires are kinda pricey though.
If you don't mind loud tires, look into the khumo venture MTs. Damn things are like beasts off road. Ride ok on road but they will sing you a VERY VERY loud song.
