The wires seem to be visibly OK. I've kept them just in case but so far so good. I did not take off the intake manifold that made things very tight so I had to unplug a few to get to the wires at the bottom of the coil packs. Took a test run and the engine seems to be responding better to them. I'm getting more response from very little throttle input.(relatively speaking) Also did the plugs. Yes I did use the +4's and the drive to work was very pleasent. I usually hit 3k RPM's to merge onto the freeway, did not have to today. Engine did all the work at 2.5RPM's and below. Idle is a little faster at just a tick over .5k RPM's. I'd estimate about 700RPM's.
I also think I got rid of a tick that the dealer told me not to worry about. I have not heard it since I change the plugs and wires.
One reason I was doing this was prep for having the engine chipped, and I felt like it was time. Not sure if I am still going to chip it as it will cost me 2 days down time but I'm happy with the results.
