I have to disagree with you on that Land Rovers are built better than any aircraft!! The last jet I worked on was over 25 years old and could still do MACH 1 and do an inverted roll to a stall and come down with a tail drop and pull it out with a hammer head!!! I have not seen any LAND ROVER do that. To say Rovers are built better than aircraft. I don't think so. And many aircraft I have worked on have well over a million miles on them. What is the record for a Rover?

I just like to go the extra mile and keep my Rover running smooth. As for my gas millage. I try to keep the speed to about 30 MPH and keep the RPM's at or below 2K after a stop. I think I could keep my RPM's down if I use the sport mode, but I don't think it was designed to be shifted much like a regular stick
