hey disco_mike. I have actually considered the filter. At one point, i removed the filter and left it out for a few minutes to see if it made a difference...It did not what so ever. I do believe i got stuck with a loud pump...id hate to spend the 500 bucks on a pump just to have it do it all over again..i've actually considered making a shield of some sort that can sorta cover the entire pump. Maybe a piece of sheet metal shaped to cover the pump that i can rivet to the plastic shroud that covers the the ps pulley and ace pulley. That might conceal the whine and confine it to the engine bay instead of my ear driving down the road. lol..

So the bottom line is that swapping ecu's is not an option to rid myself of ACE? I have access to a used ecu and sway bars. I have to make a trip to the mechanic soon to diagnose my 3 amigo that sometimes appear for no reason so if the ecu would need to be reset or something, i could do it then..
