Ha ha ha, just bolt them to the back of my Rover. Whatever it is on there it will not stand a chance. Mine are allmost all bare rusty metal.
If I was you I would just get them sand blasted (if not too rusty) or buy new ones. I hate using chemical strippers.....nasty stuff and you should use all the safety equipment invented by man, then you have to dispose of it correctly. A big PIA.
