gear change thumping noise 300tdi transmission
I have been running my 110 defender 300tdi (1996) with a major thump coming from somewhere towards the rear underside everytime i change up in gear, especially when the engine is being worked. The transmission/engine have now done approx 150k miles. I have checked for play in bushes and replaced the suspension this year but fear i may have a worn transfer box or diff. What is the likely cause and treatment ?
