For Wolf...last night's "The Unit"
Was it just me, or did it bring a tear to your eye as well ? Such a well written, well portrayed, and well acted episode. As far as Blayne's one man stand, maybe a good bit unrealistic. But everything on the homefront meant so much. The hardest scene for me was Mac. Since episode one, the man's man, complete hardass. The soldier's soldier. And the personally flawed hero. The one I have always thought our kind could most personally understand, and see a bit of ourselves in.
But last night, when he chose to stay in the M.E.'s office with Hector. To honor his friend. To protect his friend's dignity. And to stand there through the autopsy, and only lift his gaze, but not shed a tear, or close his eyes. I could not stop myself from weeping.
And for only the second time in the show's history, did I go through a whole episode without hating the colonel. When he told the white house aide, that he would break his jaw, I actually was a little bit proud of the guy.
