Default Valve cover bolt head size?

Help - can anyone tell me what size the valve cover bolts are?

'99 Disco II - in the process of tearing it down to replace blown head gasket.

Stuck right now - trying to figure out the size of the bolts holding the valve covers - are those 12-point torx or what exactly? Looks to be around 8mm size. I thought I had a well-stocked tool box but nothing that works there. Will head down and get some smaller metric 12-sided sockets. Anyone have a better suggestion?

BTW, let me vent some frustration on the design of the engine. Whomever placed the ignition coils where they are, should be drawn and quartered - no less! Imagine the aggregated waste of time and general frustration - not to mention labor time - heaped on mechanics and paid for by owners just because of this idiotic design...

There are other issues too - such as numerous bolts are not accessible with straight extensions... oh, well, it's British engineering...
