Range Rover Classic potential buyer question
Hello all, I have been thinking about buying a RRC the last couple of years, and have had a nagging question. I want to know if there are any disadvantages to the 1989 and later BW 13-61-004 transfer cases? My goal is to do a fair bit of trail type off roading, not rock climbing stuff but more or less hardcore trail driving. Am I correct in assuming the later transfer cases DO have a lock up feature at some time? I know the LT230T has a mechanical lock available to it... does the Borg-Warner 13-61-004 actually lock too?
I guess what I'm asking is, Is the later Borg Warner case as good OFF ROAD as the LT230T?
or is there something offered in the later versions of the classic that outweigh the capability of the t case?
OR... should I get a Discovery 1???
