As Andrew says, DO NOT paint your body cappings or we will all come down there and give you a beating.
There are no rules for the color of the top and window side panels. As far as I have ever seen, trucks sold new in North America had white (limestone) window panels and tops. Yours, obviously not sold new here, could have had it done either way, but most common overseas was the window panels painted the body color, and only the top white (again, limestone) or, the whole truck was one color. Station wagons were almost always white topped, but Hard tops (3 door utilities) frequently were one color.
