A flashing oil light on start up is nothing to worry about. Mine's been doing that for 3 years. It's pretty common. Skucera is right though...Just make sure you have enough oil in there. If you change every 3000 and your engine isn't burning oil, you should be okay. But it's a good idea to check it regularly.
