Richie: I had the same problem a few years ago when I flushed out the clutch system. If you have the same system in a diesel as the 4.0 V8, then you've probably just got air in the system. If you can jack up the back of the truck a few feet, try moving the pedal up and down 25X. Make sure the clutch master cylinder cap is loose (the vent coud be plugged).
In my case the system worked but the pedal was very low, so I just drove to a very steep hill, parked nose down, and pumped the pedal 50X to get the air out.
