As an example, on my Series IIa, the wheel/tire set up is as follows. 16"x6" Series wheels. Weld-on beadlocks from StraightForward Suppliers, which give me a working width of 7.5", Interco Boggers, 35x10.5x16. Tire is only 3" wider than wheel, so no safety issue, and no need for an internal, or inside rim beadlock.
For your suspension set-up, and lift; 35's or 36's won't be an issue. Articulation and steering will be. 12 and 12.5's seem to be the max on these rigs without serious turning issues. At 13 or wider, you will need to look at hydraulic assist in your steering, something like a rock ram set-up. And to turn those meats while stuffed, it would be simpler to remove the fender completely.
