Hey everyone. Ive been on the site for a while but i mostly just read whats going on and dont chime in myself too much. Its actually been a good while since ive posted anything. So im gunna use this thread to introduce myself and my rover and plan on putting all my future updates and questions in this thread. In the past ive been bad about not following up with how things turn out so ill try to keep you updated this time around.
I have a 1998 Discovery Series I LE. Odo reads 122k but its gotten a new engine so that doenst mean too much.
The first work i really did on my rover was to replace the whole engine. Shops pricing was way more than doing it myself so i ended up buying all the parts and building it in my garage. Heres some pictures of how it looked back then, and the engine work.
The engine overheated due to rapid coolant loss while i was headed down I75. The block, crank, rods, pistons, ect. all were shot and had to be replaced.
