I had a 12K Ramsey on the rear of my NAS110, but because of the NAS rear bumber, I never did do the cut & chop task of doing a permanant install, and just had it on a receiver mount. (Not to mention that the fuel tank is right there too) Your rear install should be alot easier, and I have seen some where the winch is recessed into the rearmost portion of floor, fairlead was even with rear crossmember, and was perfect.
Given the 2 locations, I think, and have found by experience, that the rear is much more sensible, especially when you consider that the best route out a situation is the reverse of the direction that got you there in the first place.
Nobody thinks twice about mounting one up front, and I too have one on an ARB, but it's better suited for recovering the guy in front of you, than dragging yourself further into the muck.
