Crysyn; your post is slightly misleading. 99, 00, and some 01 models have the front cap and nipple for a locking cdl. Second half 01, all 02, and almost all 03 models do not, and have to have the entire front cap of the lt230 swapped for thee one off of a correct one. A few 03, have the box back again, since they were gearing up for 04. And the 04 has the locking cdl, with interior lever fitted stock, as in the DI models.

With etc, I opted to go for trutracs which are a limited slip unit. The trutracs make up for the shortcomings of etc, and the etc makes up for the shortcomings of the trutracs. A detroit,arb, or other locker will not allow the etc to function correctly for how it is programmed to work. I did this at the advice of Bill Davis, at GBR, and have been very happy with how the truck operates off-road.
