The only year a D110 was brought in to the US was in 93, only a overseas modle 93 can be modified to US specs.

That's a really interesting document. I was surprised to see that only a model year 97 D90 could be done, not all 94-97 Defenders. I would think that any year that was imported could have been legally imported/converted.
